Tormented Souls Download For PC is a horror game developed by Duel Effect and published by PQube Limited. Tormented Souls Game Download was released on 27 Aug 2021. It is a great homage to older horror games, such as the first few Resident Evils. The atmosphere is handy while exploring incredibly strange and worn environments. Like someone who loves horror, tormented souls still frightened me. Not necessarily because of the monster designs, but because of anticipation. The sound design and ambiance really managed to reach me and they accumulated so much tension constantly. I found that they were strengths for the game.
The puzzles are very authentic for older games and can become very harsh. They managed to stop me a few times. They are all very creative and interesting. Fighting is tough, in the sense that enemies need tons of damage to die, so killing each one will make you run out of ammo. Sometimes you may just choose to take them down with a few photos or avoid them altogether.
An interesting mechanic is that if you venture into complete darkness, you will die after a short time. To avoid this, you can shed light, however, which makes you vulnerable without a weapon, which can feel terrifying. It’s an interesting way to force yourself out of your comfort zone, and those moments are really creepy. As for the story, I found it very interesting, although the voice acting is a bit hit or miss. The job is done, but no one really feels so authentic. I think it’s better than some of the infamous vocal actions we got in the old horror games, but in some scenes, the actors should have made a few more catches. However, I really liked the story, especially when I put together the beautifully written notes that you find scattered all over the world. The stories I tell were great!
This game is basically Alone in the Dark meets Silent Hill, of course, it also has aspects of RE games. It’s not perfect, but it was a pretty great game overall, with a pretty decent story that, at least, seemed pretty well thought out. You can’t go wrong with the price if you’re a fan of the classic survival horror game. I would have been willing to easily pay another $ 10. Classic horror survival game with even a few Metroidvania elements. some items you get seem to just be in your inventory for no reason at all, but you end up using them. I actually liked this, don’t throw anything away and something you think is completely unrelated eventually becomes useful.
The monsters don’t make sense, at least at first, and they seem pretty out of place, but the story finally explains it in a way. It’s more of a “these things exist this way because of the story” and not really in any way that makes sense, but it’s good because it’s a horror survival video game. Darkness kills you and I don’t think this really explained why, but he’s a pretty decent slow-burning mechanic, where you can’t do anything in the dark if you have your lighter out and you end up getting a light better, which is always on, so you can start to turn your ass in the dark.
The puzzles for the most part are pretty decent, but there are a few super obscure and out of the box ones that I eventually had to look up solutions for, and even after having the solutions and comparing them to the clues I still couldn’t figure out how people came to the solution. In particular the cash register and the TV/safe puzzle. The wheel key was pretty cool and I like how 1 item was used to open 4 separate doors with different solutions. Classic tank controls on the d-pad and keyboard and 360 controls on the thumbstick.
This was an odd choice, not having tank controls but locking keyboard users to tank controls, it could have easily been a toggle in the options. I used tank for a few hours and then decided to pull out the controller and basically used the thumbstick for the rest of the game, except to do quick turns, since those only work with tank controls for some reason, and turning 180 degrees manually is much slower.
