He has a variety of weapons, including bombs, a crossbow, and two swords (one made of steel and the other of silver). The steel sword is primarily used to kill people, and the silver one is most effective against creatures and monsters. Players can voluntarily pull out, change, and place swords. There are two modes of passing attack; light attacks are fast but weak, and strong ones are slow but strong. Players can prevent enemy attacks and repel them with swords. In addition to physical attacks, Geralt possesses five magical signs: Aard, Axii, Igni, Yrden, and Quen. Signs use resistance and cannot be used indefinitely. Players can use mutagens to increase Geralto’s magical power. Players occasionally control Geralt’s adopted daughter, Ciri, who can teleport short distances.
