The combat is very well done in my opinion, integrating the main character’s abilities into their combos is something that I have never seen so well done in a JRPG. A lot of people who complain about combat, if you’ve noticed, haven’t gotten that far in the game. I don’t understand how you can judge something as repetitive after just playing the tutorial. You can’t dodge canceling combos that some people will think are clunky, but if you don’t hit the attack button or play with ease, you’ll be fine. The monsters’ first attacks are extremely telegraphed/have long response times, so if they have trouble dodging this should tell you a lot about their overall skill level. I also saw someone complain about getting stun-locked, very early in the skill tree, there is a skill that allows you to recover from below so that’s it.

The first option is to play Yuito Sumeragi, he comes from a great family, he is young, he has an unbreakable and kind heart. After the OSF (Other Suppression Force) saved his life when he was younger, he inspired him to join them as a volunteer so he could save others as they had saved him. Yuito uses a sword for quick melee attacks and has psychokinesis abilities. The second option in the story is to play Kasane Randall, she was selected by the OSF, an elite cadet in the academy, the best of her class. She is calm, rational, and indifferent to others, she only opens up to her adoptive sister Naomi hers. She fights using ranged multi-blade attacks and psychokinesis abilities.
