Monstrum 2 PC Download is a horror survival game developed by Team JunkFish and published by JunkFish Limited. It was released on 28 Jan 2021. Either you play as one of 3 monsters (currently) and you hunt down prisoners or as one of a group of prisoners who have to survive in a randomly generated sea fortress. The prisoners’ goal is to activate fuse boxes that need to be completed puzzles to activate. Some need items, some need a code, some need keycards, or some are blocked by something you need to destroy or push/pull. After that, they need to repair their escape vehicle be it a submarine or helicopter, and then catch up with them before getting caught by the monster.

The map consists of 12 superblocks of which 2 are chosen each round and then randomly structured. Also, you have a submarine below the power station superblock (which spawns each round) or a helicopter area above. Each superblock has different fuse boxes in different areas, always more than necessary so that the monster cannot camp the targets. Performance is much better than Closed Beta, but there is still a long way to go for developers to have good and stable performance. You need a decent team to run the game, that’s true. So if you are playing a lower-tier team, you should expect some frame drops and should not play on high settings. However, it will get better over time. It was just released in early access.
