Continuation of Lobotomy Corporation, but it has a new game system. Turn-based card battle system in which your units run at speed as your opponents show their attacks, then select cards for your units to respond to. If you have a higher speed, you can intercept your opponents with a lower speed and you can change the fight to your advantage. As the game progresses, new mechanics are slowly introduced, such as ailments (Burning, Bleeding, Smoking, etc.), ranged attacks that take place immediately before melee attacks, dice, and so on.
If you meet your goals well, you will start to unlock various battles with bosses who will test your knowledge of the game system, which in turn will reward you with greater power through additional units, upgrade cards that can be selected in the middle of a battle or special attacks. The game is updated very regularly, usually once a week, if not faster (except for a one-month break that preceded one of the biggest updates ever on return), with quick fixes for bugs or new books appearing very close after.
The game is great for not giving up mechanics, as later battles will incorporate older mechanics in new ways and introduce support for the archetype that can bring them back to glory. Library of Ruin is a very consistent strategy card game in turn, with lots of interesting mechanics that flourish as you play. I warmly recommend my personal game of the year.
