KF is one of the most fun cooperative FPS games in existence. Team up with up to 5 other players to fight off waves of mutant zombies. Not necessarily innovative, but somehow the concept was represented in a unique and fun way. If you like cooperative FPS games, this should be a safe choice for you. There are different types of mutants. Some are “a lot of garbage” essential, but they play a role in getting in the way. Then there are mid-level and high-level “specials” that all have unique attacks. They occur less frequently but can overwhelm you if you do not remove them quickly. And if you go through all the waves in a match, there is a fight with the bosses.

If you play at the highest difficulty and with a complete team, then these boss fights are easily among the most exciting and adrenaline-filled boss fights of all games. There are 7 classes to play. You can play like all the classes in your account, but only once; and you will permanently increase the level of each class by playing. Having higher levels is a must if you want to face higher difficulties. On those big difficulties, the real brilliance of the game really shines. You will also have to play smart as a team if you want a chance to beat the maps on Hell on Earth. It can be incredibly challenging and you may go a long way without winning a single game. But when you finally do it, it can be incredibly satisfying.

That being said, it should be noted that the game also increases with the size of your team and you can play solo, which decreases the number of enemies on the wave and decreases their statistics. Because of this, playing the solo is actually easier for some, although if you make a single mistake, the game is over, because there is no one to take your hand. Personally, I feel that the game is much more fun with full teams. There’s also a lot of DLC, but don’t let that stop you. I haven’t bought a single DLC for this game and I have over 300 hours of fun and I have almost all the achievements (except for two that I’m not worthy of). That being said, it’s worth getting some DLC, as it gives you access to some great weapons that are very effective and fun to use. And anyone with any DLC can throw the unlocked weapons in the game for someone else to pick up for that match.
