Isle of Arrows offers almost endless gameplay by combining tower defense with random shoe-scratching mechanics and roguelike elements. This requires you to plan ahead, but also change your strategy. Carefully consider the placement of each tile. The order and type of tiles are generated randomly, but you are guaranteed to draw an X number of towers, roads and buildings every time. This is the lucky draw mechanic of many board games and what makes Isle of Arrows unique. Each round, you place randomly drawn tiles on the island.
Spending money allows you to pass a bill. When you’re ready, launch the next enemy wave and watch your well-placed defenses in action. The towers attack the invaders. Roads form the path on which the enemies walk. The flag extends the island, giving you more space to build. Gardens reward you with money. Inns increase all adjacent pigeon towers. And so on.
