Filcher is a 2.5D noir stealth game for the first person, a lo-fi love letter to classic immersive sims like Thief and Deus Ex. Immersive first-person stealth: use cover and shadows to stay invisible, tread carefully to stay unheard, and use your eyes and ears to detect enemies, prey, and secrets. Explore nine hand-crafted levels, each packed with stolen loot, enemies to overcome, security systems to bypass, documents to read, and secrets to discover. Use your tools to solve problems in creative ways. These include a reliable blackjack, a sleeping arrow weapon, lockpicks, flashbangs, and noisy wrapping toys.
An intriguing story told through fragments of dialogue, reading in the game, mission briefings, and scene scenes in the style of comics. A scoring system that rewards stealth and exploration. Resume missions in more furious ways to gain higher ranks. The final ranking, “Ghost”, asks you to find all the prey and secrets without eliminating guards or being detected in any way.
