EVERSPACE Download For PC is an action game developed and published by Rockfish Games. EVERSPACE Game Download was released on 26 May 2017. You play as an amnesiac space pilot who knows he’s on the run but doesn’t know why or who it’s from. However, you remember how to pilot your ship, and with the help of the HIVE AI installed on your ship, you navigate space with only the most perfect idea of where you should go. While the concept has been done to death in other games Everspace really delivers. The map fills in quickly as you progress, and once you get past the first 3 sectors (it really starts to come together) the story is really good. Much of the story is explained through short cutscenes that play between sectors or during in-game events.
I thought I’d be done with it once I finished one run, but there are enough side missions, collections, and areas to explore that the replayability is high. The combat is very good and very responsive and usually consists of short dogfights (depending on the ship you choose). Even better are the battles between enemies in 3 modes, where you can roll back to pick up linemen or dive in to save a friendly ship.
There are situations that you go through, and this is where the use of consumables, secondary weapons, and installed mods will make all the difference. While there isn’t a huge difference in enemies and types (they all have shields and hp that change) the variety of weapons and mods they can be equipped with makes up for it). There are larger capital ships that may appear and put a serious dent in your plans (and require different strategies to deal with them), but the rewards for dealing with them are well worth it. Ships also have other unique systems (like life support) so if you lose your shields there’s a good chance something critical will go off – nothing worse than having both weapon systems offline but watching enemy ships run out of oxygen the space is very nice. . You have a wide range of primary and secondary weapons to choose from, all of which have different ranges, shield and body damage, and energy consumption.
Death is an integral part of Everspace—you’re expected to die and die often at first. Unlike other games, death usually makes you stronger- while losing everything you’ve collected (weapons, materials, consumables) you get coins, maps, and alien characters. These allow you to purchase permanent upgrades to both your character and your ship, or eventually purchase different types of ships that should make future voyages much easier or suit a specific playstyle. You don’t have to play a “white knight” character, you are free to attack and loot as many neutral ships as you want, at the risk of them calling for power or being hostile to you in future territories. There is a huge selection, and while the initial options are few, once you’ve played a few times the upgrades start and you have a lot of options.
You can change the ship, ship colors, ships, and debuffs and resets before you start your run, along with the initial ship loadout and game difficulty. These are assigned until your next death, but everything else can be changed along the way as long as you have credits or materials. The upgrade tree is very good, with many options for both pilot skills (these stay with you regardless of whether you use a ship), or ship upgrades (which are attached to the ship. All upgrades are useful, although some are, all in help. long.
Visually the game is amazing, with a large set of environments that you run through. While most of the space should be empty, you always come across areas that have something interesting, from asteroid belts, structures aliens, mining platforms, and ruins from the previous War. You can always change your view (from the first person, cockpit, and third person), AND there is a picture mode game that removes some moments so that you can only capture the scenes and action as they unfold. The background music is also very good, and while they don’t take center stage, they fit the game nicely. The few characters you meet are really well voiced, and add something extra to the game.
