I have to say, the main character is kind of a god in this. It can rebuild an entire engine in less than an hour. He can introduce an entire exhaust system like Lego. He can somehow get the fuel pump out of the car. It can determine the exact condition of a set of brake pads through rims and calipers. Everything is an exact percentage for this man, not “good”, “worn out” or “needs to be replaced”. Hell, he can replace a timing belt in seconds. I envy this man. If you like to play like a god and you like working on cars without doing tiring things, then this is the game for you.

Seriously, this game helps you learn a lot about the different parts of cars and what they do. I’m not a mechanic, I just have a lot of experience repairing my own cars, because they were either French or they just tore down trash cans on wheels. But this is pleasant. It is the satisfaction of renovating cars and rebuilding engines. Obviously, it does not cover absolutely all aspects. But it will probably give you a much better idea of what the mechanic is telling you when you ever have to take your own car to a garage.

It’s not the type of game you play because you’re looking to “win”. It’s maybe just that sort of straight forward mix of a love for cars and tinkering combined with the simple task of getting a job done. The skill tree improves your speed (work, travel, etc.), unlocks additional equipment and space (more elevators, paint booth, parking levels for car storage, etc.), as well as some skill improvements (improved success in repairs). You actually have two ways to get a car to work with: these are sent through a series of pending commands that you can accept or find in different places on the map. There is a dealership where you can buy a new car (for the sake of getting a rare car or a new car to give), an auction where you can bid on used cars in various forms, but all in operation, and a Garbage garden and random barns where you can find old parts and run on cars (not running) for restoration.

Once in the garage, you can run cars through the track test to check the brakes and suspension, you can use tools on the engine to check their condition, and so on. From there, it’s up to you to either diagnose the problem with an order or just solve that junker you bought at the junkyard. The game highlights parts that you can remove or place, so you don’t need to be a mechanic to know what you’re doing. The interface uses a radial menu to change modes, access inventory, and access tools such as the tablet to order parts.

You can effectively demolish the engine, suspension and transmission and remove the wheels. Then you can repair the parts (depending on your quality and the condition of the part), you can buy replacements and rebuild everything. Or for orders, you can only find the parts that need to be repaired, make sure that their condition meets the minimum requirement for the job (for example, some older machines can get parts that have a health of 50%, so you can download some of those cheap parts you found at the junkyard and get a profit) and get paid.
